The project is a modern rooftop garden with a dominant wooden surface and numerous plants. We introduced many plants to the terrace. There are trees, shrubs, ornamental grasses, flowering perennials, as well as lawn and wildflower meadow. The terrace is located in the very center of the city, but it is so quiet, cozy and green that you can forget about it.
Atmospheric lighting
String lights were designed to hang above the terrace. Additional lighting includes spotlights that illuminate the vegetation. The terrace is screened from the neighboring building by trees planted in large, frost-resistant planters and tall ornamental grasses. We left the view of the adjacent green areas unobstructed.
Precision of workmanship
The composition layout, shape of the terrace, and planters are based on diagonal lines and triangles. The planters were custom-ordered and made to measure. Thanks to the investors’ trust and the contractors’ skills, all elements were executed according to the design with attention to detail.
First Prize
The project won first prize in the Polish Landscape 2021 plebiscite in the jury vote in the private space category for promoting sustainable development. The award was given for the use of a green roof, which in this case serves as a home garden, and for its water retention potential.
